COMMENTS:
These songs are just really bad.*1* Well, what can I say? This is probably everyone's favorite song or something, but its tripe! Completely over-lush, maudlin, oversung crap. If you want a ballad, write a pretty one. Not the same old shit. It sounds like Let It Be and Hey Jude rehashed, and pretty badly. Albeit, at one time, I thought it wasn't bad. But its awful now. I never want to hear it again. The music itself is intolerable. Yuck! *2* This is a piece of shit. The Beatles releasing this kind of garbage, with trite, dumb lyrics that have no appeal...and then the rabid fans get upset when people say they were drugged out? Hello! Get off the pot and listen closely...this is the kind of stuff Mr. Rogers would play on his show. *3* This is just so bad words escape me...*4* Another bouncy, fruity number with crap lyrics and an annoying melody. This is the type of shit that makes me embarrassed to be a fan of theirs. I'd take ANYTHING over this. Shit, the Backstreet Boys' music is better than this shit. Paul McCartney trying to think he's really creative and going back to the showtunes. Someone needed to tell him that the showtunes actually had GOOD songs. He can't hold a flame to Gershwin and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence when he produces manure like this.*5* This is a VERY bad song. It has an annoying chorus and its plain stupid. Unfortunately, most of Paul McCartney's songs are. I used to be like all of you and get all lovey-dovet with Sir Mac. Then I realized, after I matured and grew up a bit, that the majority of his stuff is either middle-of-the-toad commericial fodder, or fruity little tunes. Once in awhile he'll have the I Saw Her Standing There-Hy Jude-For No One-Carry That Weight-Maybe I'm Amazed moments, and those hold him high, but measure up all his songs and see how much utter shit the man has written. And I'm not even referring to his solo career. The Beatles are overrated, but they were brilliant. More fantastic songs than anyone else, but I've become aware of just how spectacular Lennon really was. Don't be fooled by those who say he was overrated. His music in the Beatles...my God. You can play it now and it sounds innovative. Sure he was a tad nuts, but still...Tomorrow Never Knows? Strawberry Fields? Dear Prudence? The man was pretty slick. (I realize he has his share of shit there as well, but his list can't even come near to Macca's, so don't fool yourselves.)
