It's All About Me
A homepage concerning the life and times of Sean Cavazos-Kottke

I am a University Distinguished Fellow in the first year of doctoral study in the Learning, Technology and Culture program at Michigan State University. My primary areas of research interest are in gifted and talented education, the effects of gender role socialization on student achievement, and ways to revitalize the teaching of the Humanities with technology. See the "What Am I Working On?" section below for more detailed information on that. My ultimate goal is to teach and conduct research into issues of educational psychology in a teacher preparation program at a major university.

Research Development Paper (created for CEP 900, Dec. 2002)
This is a review of the literature on what motivates gifted boys to engage in reading. This is the most detailed statement to date of my research interests and the state of my thinking regarding future directions for my research.
Annotated Bibliography (created for CEP 900, Dec. 2002)
This mammoth document, to which I constantly add new items, presents a source-by-source review of materials I've studied in pursuit of my research agenda. Every source listed here comes with a brief overview of its major ideas followed by a critique and some personal thoughts as to how the source has helped me develop my research interests.
