The puzzle is free but without warranty or guarantee of any sort.
Downloading the puzzle means you have accepted the software agreement.
(You may need software such as WinZip to open the downloaded file "Diamond16Puzzle.zip," which unpacks as the folder "Diamond_16_Puzzle.")
You cannot use Internet Explorer to view the downloaded puzzle named "puzzle.html" if you are using Windows XP Service Pack 2. You can use a different browser, or you can follow the instructions on the software-agreement/download page, which direct you to the use of "puzzle.hta" instead of "puzzle.html" -- This renaming circumvents the SP2 security that prevents the javascript in the web page from using local files with Internet Explorer. Instead, when you double-click the ".hta" file name, or use the shortcut provided in the downloaded puzzle folder, Windows will use its built-in Microsoft HTML Application Host to view the file.
The only local files used by the downloaded puzzle program, renamed or not, are the image files in its own folder. But be careful in using this renaming technique elsewhere. As Microsoft warns... "However, .hta files run with full privileges, so you should not allow code that is not trusted to run in this manner." For details, see this Microsoft support page.
